Oh gosh! I've been ignoring you! 5

Dear Dory,

This ignoring part is getting a little draggy. Suh is going to get it done by today, by hook or by crook. Oh and a reminder to myself, remember to update the one on bandersonics!

First experience of movies- Monsters and Alien - in 3 Dimensional!

Ginormica is really fabulous, she is the real lady - bright, beautiful, loyal, and a heart of gold. Someone with the mind of her own and is always so focused in giving the best of her everything. Her celebrity boyfriend was really a selfish jerk, forever thinking about himself. Way to go girl, for ditching him in the end, great punch! Woo! Bob is the ultimate hilarious entertainer for the show - 'she gave me the wrong number'. ROFL! And I couldn't stand the fact that he always repeat or complete what other people have to say, no wonder he has no brains, because he always say brainless stuff! Oh my, that's a really good character to feature people who really talk without thinking in real life. Cockroach Ph.D, haha! I didn't know that his name has the Ph.D behind! He is so super cool, to have been able to come out with such cool gadgets from pizza boxes and tin cans. You are so uber cool. Insectosaurus is cool too, though using mucus(or silk thread that looks like mucus) is gross, but he is so cute! Furry! The missing link is cool too, "papa needs some workout to do" haha and you can see his beer belly! And his big sausage lips. lol. General Monger is classic, "you mugger". The President is classic too! OMG the E.T finger and the peace sign. That is super stupid! I wonder if it is referring to George Bush. haha.

Suh realized that everyone in this animation has something in common - that they are not perfect. The imperfectness is so detailed, like Susan's hair is a little curled and split, and the generals and president will have beer bellies instead of the usual cartoon where generals are muscular and tall and have handsome faces.

Watching it in 3 dimensional effects was a good choice. The beginning when the scene was in the space was uber cool and real, and the guy who was playing the ball and got the ball to almost hit the screen was the coolest of all, suh almost jumped out of her seat! It felt as if the ball is really coming towards you. =S

16-18 June 2009 - Poster Replacement Job

Between 16-18 June, Suh was out under the hot sun earning money. Hot sun eh, so what has she been doing? Well...her jobscope basically is to replace posters at provision shops or medical shops around Jurong, take some pictures for the uncle to bring back for account purposes. Just like the posters in the picture below:

  Btw, this medicine shop is at Jurong West! Yunnie, any impression? =) haha didn't expect me to be so near yet so far away from you...r...house right.lol

By right, the job is supposed to be very tiring and hot as you will have to run around under the hot sun from 8.30 to 5.30 (hence explaining the pay). But she was really lucky, the uncle that she was attached to was really nice. He does not seem to be very interested in pasting posters around the neighborhood because he said if he do that, he will have to take down the posters himself if he were to do that. Thus in the end most of the time, Suh was standing around doing nothing and, perhaps  take pictures of interesting things - like these:

Very rare will you get to see provision shops with such histories. Suh thought that you can only see this kind of shops again in Malaysia. From the uncle, this shop has been here since 1960s! Look at how raggard the signboard had become, and the cement floor - look at the potholes. At Jurong, you can see ALOT of shops like this. If you notice, at the second picture with the cement floor, there is a man wearing a blue shirt. He is actually the very nice uncle who will always treat me, somehow or rather for lunch.

  This photo was taken while I was waiting for Uncle to finish his chat with the medicine shop owner beside this shop. Initially Suh was not aware of the existence of this shop until waves of fragrance came in batches while she was sitting at the benches. Its actually a laundry shop. Suh was really fascinated by this shop because it is the first time that she actually seen a laundry shop,real life! There are big machines arranged in one row, which i suppose is to wash and dry the clothes. And the shop has ALOT of clothes hanging on the ceiling! Wanted to take the inside of the shop but I was too shy to ask for permission. haha

  This tree is very interesting because it only has 3 layers of branches! Somehow it looks like the tray to contain the pastries when you go for very English style high tea at Goodwood park hotel. haha. Though this photo did not show much. lol

On my last day, the uncle was really nice, he gave me this ribena pillow as a gift for working under him! Its so adorable. haha And guess what, Suh's using it to support her back while typing this haha! =)

Anw, on a side note, because suh had eaten lunch with Uncle for around 4 days, she noticed something  - that Uncle has really nice eyelashes LOL. Okay it's really random.haha.

Lately, Yunnie and OJW has been rather down on luck. Yunnie made some mistakes when she was at work being cashier, while OJW was injured all over his body from his ICT (in-camp training). So Suh decided to make some good luck charms for both of them. Yunnie has a cloud on hers while OJW has a curly "OJW" attached on his clover. Hope you guys will become lucky after this! HUAT ARH!

22-25th June - Artdicted workshop

Few weeks ago, Suh went to join SMU Arts Festival Design Sub Comm out of plain interest. So in order to equipped us with skills proficient enough to do designing work for the entire school, the in charge has kindly arranged an In-design workshop for the designers. It was really cool, suh managed to learn something more than just photoshop can do. In-design is really cool, because those professional designers and print companies actually use In-design to do their artwork. Catalogues, posters, post cards, brochures, booklets, in the real society, are actually done using In-design. And photoshop is actually for editing photos only. That's really cool. Anyways, suh came out with this concept during the workshop, using the theme "CONTENT: CONTENT", she uses the concept of  overlaps - two content combined into one.

Nice right! Cos suh thinks its nice. haha =) But perhaps it is a little abstract...

22th June- Visit to Asia Pacific Breweries

Suh went to visit APB on Monday to meet the manager for Freshman Bash Sponsorship. And guess what, it was all the way at TUAS! Super near second link, one more turn and proof! you might end up at Malaysia. haha. The walk in was really long too, i think i messaged jie wei 5 times before reaching the reception counter office. And there was a heavy fermented yeast smell lingering in the factory.

The first meeting was really scary, Suh didnt know what to expect and how to react when she met the manager. But thank goodness the manager was very friendly, he break the ice by telling me alot of things. Initially he was expecting suh to tell him what we want, but he kind of knew that Suh has no authority to ask for things, so he did the talking most of the time. And after the meeting, he brought Suh to a bar and treated Suh to SOL BEER (drink that APB is going to sponsor). Suh was so scared that she might get drunk drinking the beer, to the extent that she kept her eyes open wide wide to keep herself focused. Bet she looked scary that time. =S

Okay, something serious now. Perhaps it is time to reflect on what went wrong during the meeting. Perhaps suh should equipped herself with better knowledge of  Freshman Bash before meeting up with Kevin, getting herself clear of what is she expecting and the quantity. And also, she has to really built up her EQ, there are times where awkward silence persist because Suh does not know how to continue with the conversation. The last part is very importatnt, i think that is her biggest fault throughout so many years of organizing event. Sigh.

Yup that's about it. Yes like finally. The episode has come to an end.
